One of my favorite ducks and very hard to get close to.
A busy BG, i realize and I desaturated it a bit.
I don't know if I have seen one posted here, so I thought this was a decent photo
of one despite the BG.

Real nice shot. I really like the pose, great detail, and nice light. Looks like it could use a tad cc rotation and I agree on the background, but I dont think its to distracting.
Well done on getting close to such a skittish duck.
nice low angle and great details, I'd reduce the sharpening a tad. BG is a bit busy.
The "busy" background just makes it more natural. I like the fine details and colours.
I like this shot and am comfortable with the "busy background" as your subject stands off well against it. I would agree with rotating it a degree or two, otherwise a really great photo.
They sure arte pretty and you got a nice look at the head colors. Great detail too.
Hi Dan, just love the colours on this teal, as well as the low angle. Im fine with the BG, as thats where these guys mainly swim, but trying to blur it a little more should work well too. The plumage on the side is tricky to get right, as it 'appears' over sharpened. What I may have done here is selectively sharpen the teal where it counts, and dab a touch of sharpening over the area mentioned above.
