Hello everyone. I was able to get pretty close to this killdeer just before sundown. Took a couple of shots, got home to review and was upset with myself cause I cut off its feet. So I went ahead and cropped it close.

I like the composition and the complimentary BG. Very unusual color palette. I wish that the vegetation wasn't visible but that is a minor nit,

Robert this is really beautiful presentation here.
Considering the crop and tc use this is really beautiful clear view.
for me the vegetation adds little value to frame so if its mine i would keep it.

Hi Robert, super pose, and I like the light and colours in this. Love the smooth BG too. Im fine with the OOF foliage at the LRC, but cropping up from the bottom, if needed, wont harm the comp.

Awesome up close capture of a fairly elusive bird. You did well to get close to it, and in such good light. You have a lovely BG and I think the foliage works to ground the photo.

Lovely job on this, Robert. I love that BG and the IQ. Might try brightening it just a bit in Curves to see how it looks.
