Silhouette!

This one is from earlier in December... One evening, I was trying out silhouettes when these two Clerks Grebe came by for this image. For processing, adjusted in ACR and then levels. Used a small bit of pb/oil on water and sharpened for the final web version. Hope you like it...

The color you captured with this image is gorgeous! I love the black against the gold, as well as the repeating pattern, and relative positioning, of the two grebe silhouettes. For me, the overall impact could be enhanced with a little more sharpness on edges of the silhouettes.

Indranil, Great looking silhouette and the filtering looks lovely. I do wish the one grebe were facing more towards us but it is a beautiful silhouette!:S3:

I do like it, very much! Love the comp, colors, subjects and the PB effect on the water, Indranil! A couple of things that are way into the personal preferences... :S3:... You may wish to eliminate the very slight halo on back of neck of left Grebe, and there is only one spot of Grey in the water ripple behind the left Grebe that your may want to blend toward gold. Very subjective stuff, considering this is such a super color/silhouette image!

Great looking silhouette, Indranil, and like the golden light on the water and texture of ripples. Nice peaceful simplicity to comp.. Good suggestions above, but very nice!
