This is probably my favourite blur from the fall season and was taken from a car in a traffic jam on my way home from visiting family ;-) Canon 50D ~ 100mm 2.8 Macro (non is) ~ TV Mode, 1/10, f/20, ISO 100

Nathan, It's beautiful! Nice to see you posting. I think the colors are great and the amount of blur is appealing. I might evict the white tree on the left if it were mine. I probably wouldn't crop it since I like the composition but I'd layer over it.:S3: I didn't get any great fall blurs this year- but I am hoping for snow and a chance at a string of trees I just located!!:S3:
Hi, Nathan. Great opportunistic, Blur! Agree with Denise that the left white trunk could be muted a bit. You might even try a new layer in color blend mode and use a soft brush with colors sampled from nearby. Very attractive, Fall colors and the hard edges compliment the image/blur. Nicely done! :S3:
This proves that traffic jams aren't all bad. Talk about trees ablaze with color . . . The blur adds to that metaphor in this case.
I agree with Steve's comment about the hard edges. I haven't done enough camera movement blurs to figure it out from experience, so this is only based on looking at your image. Did you hold the camera still at the end of the exposure and get the edges that way?
I love, love, love everything about this but the white trunk on the left frame edge (that was first nailed by Lady D). The degree of blurring and the colors are just great.
Nathan, everything is perfect except for the tree on the left. What a great way to spend time in a traffic jam:S3:
Thanks so much everyone for taking a look and commenting, I'm going to rework the image and remove that trunk on the left! I'm also going to make a solid effort at being around here once if not a couple times a week!
:S3::S3:
Hi Nathan, A little late, but I do love this one also and agree on the tree. we did not have a lot of nice colours around Barrie this year, but you found a nice patch for this photo. nice work!
Thanks Andrew, pretty decent year for colours, captured this one just outside of Bracebridge.
