Canon 5D Mark II, 500 F4 ISO 640 F5.6 1/2000
Fair crop, quick mask on eyes to lighten, QM on body to lighten color and selectively sharpen, QM to remove some brush in background on beach.
Wrestling with what is the proper amount of sharpening, think this gets it but would appreciate your more experienced eye.
To me, she's just one of the many real pretty bears at Lake Clark Natl Park.
Thanks for your comments, and to those of you in the states, Happy Thanksgiving.

Stan - She is a beauty and I really like the pov and comp. As to the sharpening, I see some speckling/noise in the fur, particularly evident on the upper front legs and I think this comes from oversharpening but others probably know better. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
TFS,
Rachel
Edit to add: It also doesn't seem that you have an embedded color profile for the image.

Hi, Stan,
I love this image of yours for the obvious reasons mentioned by Rachel. The angle of approach is superb, so is the comp. The Bear is very beautiful as well...
Incidentally, I happen to have a lot of free time today :bg3: and tried a few things on your image. Things I did:
1. Tilted the image CW
2. Tamed the bright white BG a little
3. In CS, evened out the BG with a brush that matched the gray bg (can be improved further )
4. Re-sharpened some of the features (nose, eyes, claws).
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours !

Stan,
You have captured a glorious pose here, I am not at all familiar with Brown Bears (in fact I have never seen one), but to me this looks a little light.
I think you can always be certain that when you have a good image others like to play with it:bg3:
Kiran's repost improves the OP so I have taken it and done my own version. I merely dragged down the centre in curves a very good tip I received from Robert Amaruso.
I suspect that the quality may be dropping as a result of repeated saving of JPEGS.
Here is my attempt.
First, I really like the image. The low perspective adds interest.
Canvas rotation, curves, selective noise reduction using a layer mask.
I prefer never to clone, however I will use the dodge and burn tool right now. So I burned in some of the bright OOF foreground elements.
