Shot at the pumpkin patch last weekend...I've always been intrigued by the variations in color that you can find in maize. Image taken with the 24-105@73mm, f/11@1/60. RAW image processed in LR, the brought into PS; applied a VERY light layer of Fractalius, and then a layer of Topaz->Clean and lowered the opacity a smidge. Wanted a "swirl" of the other-worldly in there (but not too much!)...hope you enjoy it.

John, Beautiful composition and filtering. Nice job, I love the swirls of glow that seem to be all around the corn.:S3:

Nice image, John. Your application of Fractalius was just right, I think -- subtle, yet effective. If this were my image, I'd probably subdue the blues a bit in one way or another, especially the husk in the upper right. I do like the contrast in colors, though. And textures.

Hi John, I feel you succeeded in what you set out to do. The colors are interesting with the 2 shorter ears anchoring the image. The light filtration adds a wispy look which takes the image out of the realm of reality.
Nicely done...

Very nice John, like the composition, and just the right amount of filter combination to give a nice energy energy to it.

Thank you for your comments...always appreciated. Dennis, I'll have to take a stab at tweaking the husk colors; Topaz seems to always punch the blues a bit! Thanks again.

Great minds think alike...I just bought six stalks of Indian corn myself! You did a great job on this one - the soft glow and the "spirits" between the corn stalks are very nice.

Julie, I was cheap...lol...they literally had several rails of corn hanging along small sheds at the patch...I went along and shot to my heart's content. I'm probably heading back this weekend...hope to see your take on Indian corn soon!
