C'mon little guy...don't be shy!!
What turned out to be the tamest bird of the year didn't start off that way...or at least it seemed. The first day I saw this Red-necked Phalarope I was not sure what to expect so I took 15-20 minutes to approach it within good range. I soon figured out I could just walk right over to it and plump down right beside it:S3: At first I didn't like the partially covered face, but when I noticed the bill showing through the little wave I liked it better. I got nice and wet for this one...now the water there has since receded and I can see what I was lying in:bugeyed:
