Tom:
Simple, clean image composition, I like the curves of body and neck, pleasant BG.
Placement of bird in frame works well for me.
My avatar on BPN was a Reddish Egret for years, so I appreciate a well turned out one.
Cheers
Randy
Thank you Randy, I liked the twist to the neck too and that is why I chose this shot of him.
This is so good Tom, Just love the composition and the light catured. the sharpness and details are perfect. Not a nit at all, But am very tempted to go bluer on the space around the Bird. If u dont mind I will make an attempt.
Tom Just tried making the Bg blue. Also ran a little selective NR on the BG. Do tell me how it looks.
Sweet pose Tom and well composed in the frame. Not sure way your images from this morning have this green color cast but I removed it here. When I get a chance I will email you the steps to get rid of color cast its just a little to complicated to write it out now.
Ramesh, thank you for the repost, the color of blue is beautiful and compliments the birds very nicely. However, I think it looks a bit over saturated or too processed, not sure how to say that. Thank you for taking the time
Don, the repost looks great. I know, I do my work on a Mac Book Pro but I have never calibrated the monitor that could be part of it. I do see the green cast when you point it out and then it is easy to see with the repost. I just need to watch closer before I post. I tend to have a blue tint or a green tint to many of my images.
Thank you both for the feedback. I hope I am learning, I think I am.
Tom, like Randy said, the curves are beautiful here. loved the calm water and pose. Good call on the f-stop....best to stop down when the bird has back towards you.
Ramesh, your blue is a little too blue...I was going to mention that in the 'golden heron' post as well. Not sure if its your personal preference or monitor calibration issue.
This is beautifully framed image for me. that look back is good.
Perfect lighting condition.
Love the pose and Don's excellent repost as well. The bird looks quite curious.
Don's repost is gorgeous. Love that reverse S curve to the neck, so sinuous. Great capture, Tom.
Beautiful pose, and I like the simplicity of the image. Perfect placement of the subject within the frame. My favorite version is Don's repost.
Oooh, this is nice. I love the look back and the color of the BG in the OP. I like Don's repost as well. The curve of the neck is perfect.
