From last saturday. I probably shouldn't post a spoonie with the others great spoonie shots being posted currently, but I will anyway. I know many will say the sea shell below the bird is a distraction, but when you are from Colorado, you don't see sea shells very often so I left it in - artistic license.:w3

Hi Tom, Great moment captured I love the trailing water off of the feet and you have a great HA. The image just needs a touch more work in PS to make even better the first and hardest thing to explain how I it did was to removed the color cast next I wanted to punch up the pink colors of the Roseate which is pretty easy to do. Using a saturation adjustment layer click on the drop down menu and chose the reds add about five points next click on the selective color adjustment layer again chose the reds and move the black slider about ten points to the right. Against my better judgement I left the conch shell :bg3:

Should have worked from Don's excellent repost but I like to do what I do before I read the comments of others. That was a mistake here :S3:.
I am from Florida and I like shells too. I just like them in spots where they add to the compositional balance.

ps: That's a pretty good bird for the Rocky Mountains!

Love the water trail - agree that the movement of the shell improves the comp - not sure about that level of manipulation of an image though.

Don, thank you for the repost, you got the water to be blue instead of the greenish cast that mine had and the bird has more pop to it. Thanks!
Artie, I like the shell better where you placed it - good move - and you are right, it would be an amazing bird for the Rockies. :S3:
Thank you both for leaving my shell in the photo.

Gorgeous spoonie. It's just amazing how moving a shell a few feet can make such a difference in a picture. I like the pose, the layers in the BG here and the splash is a nice touch as well.

Ok, so I tried to copy the changes Don made as well as moved the shell per Artie and here is the repost of that.

I like the water trail and wing positions, excellent pose and sharp I see a strong cyan cast on the image which is addressed in Don's repost in pane #2

Hi Tom,
I love Don's repost and where Art put the shell. Great water trail. I still see a strong color cast around the head in your last repost. Just fix that up and you have yourself a great shot!

Tom, The pose with the trailing water is killer and I love the shell. The forward swept wings is one of my favorite poses. I was not there to see the actual, but on my calibrated monitor the blues look really saturated.

Ok, I have tried to reduce the blues as noted. I am not sure how I did, so feel free to let me know if it is still off. Thanks.
