Hello everyone. Here is shot I captured a few months back of this young owl. It was a real joy watching this little guy play around and explore. I added a tad of canvas to the left side. Hope you enjoy. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 200-400, Exposure - 1/320, Aperture - F11, ISO - 400, Focal Length - 500mm, Metering - Multi Segment, Manual.

Awesome stare by the bird and the sharpness of the image .
Very sweet looking little fellow, sharp, well exposed. Despite the similar colors, he stands out well from the burrow.
Intense stare.
Cheers

A beautiful, clean young bird. I would recommend toning down or getting rid of the white rock below the tail (and a few others as well if you are OK with that). What are the black shapes by its feet?

Great bird. I like the overall color tone in the image.
I can see a repeating pattern and blurred patch between two of them
in the right-low corner. I would blur much more in that area.

What a sweetie and one I havn't gotten yet. I really like the expression. On my moniter the golden light looks very golden.

Robert, nice stare and sharpness. BG is too close but still blurred in a good way. wondering if a slightly more open aperture (say, f/9) would have been a better choice. Good job in getting so close.

Wagar - yes this is one of those one of those three.
Arthur - they are feathers.
And thank you all for your comments. Much appreciated.

Arthur - sorry for not being clear. When I arrived that morning the parent had finished plucking a bird. I couldn't make out what kind of bird but it was their breakfast.

Thanks Robert. Now that my brain is on straight I can clearly see at least three feathers.
