Lovely bird. Off-angled light well handled. HA good and BKGR not bad. Bird on the right might have been better here but this works for me.
Nice BG to go with your bird. Wonderful pose/angle of the bird itself but feel it would look better in the right side of the frame. Your bird appears soft to my eyes. I would try some sharpening.
Good advice above, nice captured image, I gotta get down under some day, some fantastic birds there...well done

Good input from the folks above. I do agree that the traditional choice of framing, with this angle of gaze, would be to place the bird more to the right in the frame.
In a perfect world, I would prefer the light angle to be just a bit more towards your right shoulder, to give at least a little light onto the back.

Thanks for the feedback :S3: I had fleetingly considered framing the bird on the right but wasn't sure it would work. I must confess I didn't try it to see though :e3 I'll give it a whirl./
