Long & low dome hide (wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk)

Hello everyone,


Is there anyone in here who has experience of using the "Long and low dome hide" from www.wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk in the UK?


I'm considering buying one of these, but would like to ask a few questions to people who have actually been using it. Would be interested in any advice you have to offer.

OUCH!

At that price I'd seriously consider the Ameristep.

Also consider portability.

I use the C 30.1 Large dome hide with an extra low window, when I want to shot low I get down and put the blind over me without the "irons" and use the low window. the low and long has floor, so don't forget that in many situations you can't use a chair to sit and with time the floor will be damage... its only good if you want to sleep inside...

I had evaluated the long and low dome hide. I realised all the time I have to remain in that position. Its tough. You need to think hard about your photography before deciding. I have the C30.1

This brand is much more costly than the Ameristep brand one finds in US.

I have the "long & low" (without the floor) but would probably not choose it again - but would go for the large dome as Humberto has.

Because of the format, it is really quite cramped inside and getting the height of your rig right on the tripod in the right position can be a challenge, and won't necessarily leave you able to sit or kneel in a comfortable position.

I find I can only shoot out of the front panel. So, if you start getting some interesting action on the sides, you have no chance of moving your camera and tripod.

On the plus side, it is a very well made product and I am sure you can expect it to last a lot longer than the cheaper Ameristep products.

If you really want a lower profile hide, though - you can make me an offer! :S3:
