Hi Denise, Gotta love sunflowers. Nice arrangement, you framed the flowers well. On my laptop it's hard to tell the effects of the filters. That bee adds interest, nice catch! I think this image would also have been interesting from a higher vantage point (if you are taller that the flowers:S3:) with a bit more of the flowers in the frame. Just a thought. Lovely image.
Jay, I used a subtle effect with the filters. I shot from a lower angle to get the sky background since there was a farmhouse and some other junk in the background :S3: I did manage to get some other shots of the entire field and other angles. You can check out my blog for more if you want.
Denise, my laptop is only 13". Now seeing the image at home, the filter effects are subtle and quite nice. An artistic touch. I will check out your blog. I should have known:S3:.
Nice image and application, Denise.
Only item is the Bee ... ? Not sure as it is almost unidentifable. Would have been nice to have it bigger, or evicted, if it were mine. But like the image of the flowers and BG. :5
Hi Denise;
Sunflowers have always fascinated me...you did good job here with shadow detail...for me, the bee is a distraction and I would probably evict it, but that's a matter of personal taste...of the three primary sunflowers in the composition, I might brighten the blooms on either side of the one in the center, bringing tonal qualities more in line with the center bloom...just thinking out loud. Nicely done! BTW...the first two images of sunflowers on your blog are STUNNING...hope to see more of your floral work.
Oh I love this one, Denise! Such a bright and happy image and the subtle processing is perfect. I think the bee should stay.
Very nice angle to have the sky for the background. I like the subtle filtering and the bee was a bonus!
Denise, I love this perspective. Wonderful sky and colors. It is the hovering bee that takes it over the top!
