I love HB's. I like the details in the face and the wings showing motion. I might consider toning down the reds a tad in the flower if it were mine. Nice capture.
Reds toned down!
Awsome Mike. The colors are great as is the detail in the hummers body. I really like the motion in the wings as well.
I. too, have these little guys in my backyard and I really appreciate the capture. They are fast! I love the catchlight in the eye. I agree with toning down the flower and perhaps sliding it a bit more to the orange kind of red. Cardinal flowers are often a bit more orangey than pinkish. By the way, I once had a judge reject my HB shot on the grounds that it was a female! So much for judges. Great shot!
Nice details, composition, wing blur. I agree about the reds (both the saturation and hue). I also find the image quite blue...I'd warm up the WB.
Lovely detail in the feathers and just the right amount of wing blur. Toned down version is better. Very nice HB pic,
gail
Love the sense of motion in this one. I think the toned down reds helped. To me it looks like the eye could use a bit of sharpening. Well done!
Nice shot Michael, these are my favorite birds. All good comments above and Daniel mentioned the color cast.
