I grunged this up a bit with NIK's flux. I did a bunch of shadow work, and light balancing with some Softening for mood effect. It's a bit tight at the bottom. Let me know how this works...........

Works for me Jay, the wheel is awesome, the colors, shadow and textures show well. I love the hint of sunlight in the trees...well done
Jay, I'm enjoying your wagon wheel series...and this image is no exception. Nice job of bringing out just enough detail in the cliff face to keep it an integral part of the composition without drawing your eye away...nice, subtle use of color by bringing out the red in the hub..your shadow work is really exceptional, an area I sometimes struggle with. I think the image would benefit some if you were to extend the canvas on the bottom and on the right a bit..and then darken and saturate/warm the URC mountains just a bit to deepen the sense of the sun coming over the horizon. Nicely done!
Hi Jay, love the detail in this one and the sun behind the tress is a lovely touch. Part of me is wishing that the sun was a little more towards the upper right corner of the comp, but this is still a lovely image! Very nice work!
Great image, Jay. The detail on the wheel is wonderful and the lighting is lovely.
Jay, The processing is wonderful! I like the way you composed this as it makes me interested in seeing more.:S3: a little tight on the bottom but not a deal killer for me. Nice work with the sun peeking out!
Nice composition and great detail in the wheel.
Jay...This works for me .........esp the sense of light in the scene!
Thanks everyone. May try a bit more canvass at the bottom.
