This is a pan blur taken a couple weeks back at my local park. I've tried a couple times to capture this scene but it's never worked out before. What did it for me this time around was the shadows running from left to right in the top and bottom third of the scene. I'm not sure about the shrubs that run along that top shadow and a couple to the right, was thinking about removing them?

Well done, and the shadows definitely make the image. I like the patch of grass in the front. I think removing the green trees/shrubs and tall dark ones in the back would make it stronger.
Nathan, Welcome to OOTB! This image really appeals to me. I love the golden tones and the multiple layers. The amount of blur is lovely. I might evict the one group of dark vegetation top right if it were mine but would leave the rest as they add interest to the scene. I might open up the shadow on the lower edge left also. Beautiful work.:S3:

Nathan, this is a strong image...I agree with the suggestions about removing the dark vegetation in the upper right, and with leaving the green vegetation above the first shadow. All in all you've nailed it..this would look great on a large canvas! :cheers:

Hi Nathan, and welcome to OOTB! Wonderful image, full of color and texture. I agree with your feelings about the lines and flow to the image, very nice. I would probably evict that one dark shrub in the upper right, otherwise wouldn't change a thing. Glad to see you here and looking forward to more!

Nathan, I love this! I especially like the way the image flows in curves from one side of the canvas to the other like a river. You could lighten the upper dark shrub and lower left shadow but if you don't it's still a gorgeous image. It reminds me of your flower blur post last week but I like this composition better. I'm hoping to see more:S3:
This thumbnail leapt out of the box for me (excuse the pun). Good strong composition with the lines of the light and colour. I would agree with comments on removal of the darkest of the vegetation on the top right and Denise makes a good point about trying to open up the llc a bit.
Hi Nathan, very nicely blurred! Agree on removing the dark stuff in the upper right, but otherwise I would leave it as is. I like that you can just make out the milkweed plants in the field just right of center. Welcome to OOTB also. Barrie eh! I guess we are neighbors as I am just down the road from there. Nice work!
This is really beautiful! Everyone has said just about everything and I agree. The glowing and flowing qualities are so very lovely to look at. Well done.

I think this turned out excellent! As you mentioned yourself.....took a while but the play of light you got and the pan blur amount make this shine!
Thanks everyone, I'm going to clone out the dark veg at the top right for sure. Great call Denise on the shadow in the llc, I just had a print done up and the shadow is screaming "lighten me up"!
