South Fork, Colorado

Slight glow, and something called FLUX in NIK's creative suite, gives it a stretched and grungy feel. I placed the wagon on the right since the front wheels were steered around to the left.............

Jay, I love it! The wheels are so neat and the effect really adds something special to this. A bit tight on the bottom which I don't mind since it allows that "in your face" look but I do wish the right side wasn't clipped. This is wonderful! I hope to stumble upon something like this one day!!:S3:

Denise, thanks. The side got clipped worse with the stretched flux effect, not sure what to do about it.............this was at the campground I stayed at :S3:. Ask Kerry, this part of Colorado, leading to the Million Dollar Highway and onto the rustic towns of Silverton and Ouray are full of these photo ops. Must be on your "bucket list". I wanted to recommend a tour to you of this part of the country, not sure how it would work, but i could see a workshop potential.! Count me in, if you think a workshop might work.

Jay, That is so funny because Kerry and I are putting something along those lines together and you will be the first we contact!! As far as the wheel goes it's not a deal breaker but you could add a sliver of canvas if you wanted but I would leave it if it were mine.:S3:

Denise, I should have guessed! :S3: Want some help planning, or interesting places, let me know. There is also an area north of South Fork following the Rio grande to Creede, Colorado, another incredible preserved mining town. I could have spent a week there. Unfortunately, all my images from Creede were lost when my laptop crashed. :eek:

Fantastic image Jay, The right side doesn't bother me at all either, and I love the filters. I lived in Colorado for 8 years and this shot just brings back so many memories. Thanks for the mental trip.

That area of the country is awesome for such images. Unfortunately, mine are all on slides ... which I hope to go through again before I can't anymore. Haven't been there since I moved to Florida, but Co., N.M., Ar., Nv, Id., Wy are awesome for scenics and rustic images of buildings and the like.

I would like to have seen the wheel on the right, but it can stand without it as well. Nicely done!:5

Excellent POV and use of creative filters. I just never "see" these types of images when I have my camera and am glad to have my mind stretched! I am curious what lens you used.

Hi Nancy, thanks. I used a 24-70mm, set at 24mm, so there is some distortion, but I don't mind that. f/9 @ 1/80th sec, hand held. Sometimes a tripod feels too bulky in these situations:S3:.

I love that area of Colorado and have been there many times! Like everyone above stated above.....the mising wheel isn't a deal breaker.....and the rest the effect is gorgeous! Very well done and great find!
