Snowies Up And Down
This and several of the snowy plovers I saw on Caladesi Island kept doing this funny head turn, almost like a dog will do when it seems to be trying to understand you.
They may have thinking what is this guy thinking wearing that bucket hat?
Thought it'd be funny to set three shot of this one into a Brady Bunch opening kinda motif.
Enjoy!

that's pretty cool, sean!! i really like the middle one.

Nice behavior sequence, Sean. Snowys (and a lot of other shorebirds) do this when they spot a real, or potential, raptor flying overhead. Their eyesight is amazing. I once saw a piping plover in MN do this and crouch flat to the sand when a falcon flew over. The falcon must have been well over 1,000 feet high as it was just a tiny speck in the sky. :)

It is real interesting to watch the birds watch other birds, even airplanes, helicopters and parasail craft.

Nice concept, but each image needs more room above the bird.
