Drinking his share of nectar from the flower in my dad's garden , this handsome sunbird allowed me a great oppurtunity to get him upclose . Wish I had a better BG to get him in .

Beautiful image of this very cool bird!
Great composition and excellent detail!
I actually like the BG but maybe selectively tone it down a bit.
But if there's any chance you could physically get rid of whatever piece of OOF vegetation is obscuring the flowers, that would be a big help.

Super detail and pose here. I like the bg as well, but ditto tone it down a bit. Overall a stunning image!:S3:

Great pose and exposure with good natural colours. I see some noise on the wing. Like the soft colours and bg. A super IMG !!

Rakesh, yes to excellent pose and sharpness(quite incredible at 1/50s). Not easy to photograph these birds. As others have noted, the brightness of the BG is the main issue here. Thx for sharing.

nice Rakesh, head is sharp but the wings are blurry and grainy, I see that you didn't have much light, wish you had used flash for this one. TFS

The green object in front of the flowers is a big distraction. The head is beautiful, but the lower part of the body is going out of focus. You must have been very close indeed. If you were close, then that suggests that the bird is tolerant or even tame, and if that's the case then he's probably a regular visitor, and if that's the case then you may have a chance to set up a tidy little spot for him to come to next time.
