Pectoral Sandpiper and Wooly Louisewort
Pectoral Sandpiper
Barrow, Alaska
D3. 850 MM, ISO 1000, f8. 1/320.
One of the first flowers to show up after the thaw, is the beautiful Wooly Louisewort. This image was taken on one of the first days I arrived in Barrow. By the time I left a week later, the Tundra had many of these flowers with their pink petels showing up everywhere. I like how the how the texture and color of the flower matches the bird. This guy was singing his head off :-)
This was a set up, and in my next newsletter, I will show a picture of how we did it.
