Took this image couple of weeks ago,did not clone the grasses out,because I quite like them in the image,and if I had cloned them,may have looked a bit empty,what do you think,comments good or bad.cannon 7d,400mm cannon lens,tripod,f6.3,1/800s,iso400,crop,sharpening ps.thanks.

Very nice picture; I don't mind the grass at all. Compositionally I think it could use some more room top/rt, and maybe a bit less rock.

I really like this too! I think the grass adds to the overall appeal as does the perch. I generally prefer tighter crops......but this works excellent as presented also!

The little guy sure is posing proudly - love the angle. The Weatear is nice and sharp showing good detail, and the rocky perch does add with the different colours on it. IMHO, I would have preferred the grasses on the LHS of the image.

Beautiful image. I like the pose, and the excellent perch. The comp is good as is too. I'd be interested to see a version with the one off-parallel blade eliminated just for fun (leaving the other three intact)...but I like it this way. Very nicely executed!!

I can't argue with your decision to leave the grass in. In fact, I can't think of anything much else to do except enjoy this capture of a good bird.
