This is a White-faced Duck touching down in the water at a local birding spot on saturday morning. Wow, it was cold there -2.5 deg C. I liked the full wingspread here.

excellent incoming pose and great details Stu
Great pose and colors. IQ looks good and nice light. Looks like it could have a 1-2 degree CW rotation looking at the water level. But lets see if others think that:w3:S3:
Love the frontal pose. Super detail and moment captured. Well done!:S3:
Hey Stuart,
Great angle and timing on the touchdown! Works great for me all around!
Excellent incoming pose and perfect timing, Stuart.
Excellent Stu, good reflection and pose, nicely done:cheers:
Great full frontal landing pose captured. Super sharp and well exposed with great colours. Well done Stu :S3:
Love the head-on positioning! Reflection is a bonus and feather detail is excellent.
thanks
Charles
Thank you all for the kind words.
Stu, nice work here; I love the rich ocher on the breast and the black and white bands. Some immediacy, however, is lost by the angle. I know you've said before that in preserves in South Africa it's often prohibited to leave one's car; I'm wondering whether that was the case here.
Thanks for the feedback Craig. Always appreciated.
