Here is an incoming hawk at very close distance. This is the hunting dive. The hawk was so focused on his prey he did not change his flight path and almost buzzed me!
Here is a larger version for better viewing. You can see the blood on the beak from the last meal! Hope you like it

The small size doesn't do justice. Loved it on large.

You've got nerves of steel. Incredible detail but what I love most is the intensity of this image.

Arash,
Outstanding image in many ways. Very sharp, good exposure, great subject and pose. The phase angle looks to be about 70 degrees, which would often give deep, high contrast shadows, except there was plenty of sunlight reflected off of other objects to fill in the shadows. Did you do any post processing to lighten the shadows?
What noise reduction did you use? How much of a crop?

Great head on capture, and just love the intense focus from the eyes. Tack sharp all round, and I like that BG.

Arash, that is one amazing capture. loved the stare and what a nice BG. I have liked the way you have handled the underside...there's detail and yet good enough contrast. Excellent crop.
The big size does not, but this one looks a tiny bit oversharpened.

As always, you have the right exposure, lots of detail, complimentary bg, good composition and then the drama of the intensity of the hunt.

Thanks all for the nice comments. Fortunately the shadows were not deep and I just did slight adjustment in DPP. Image is almost full length cropped to 16:9 AR.
