I photographed this holding the camera lens flat against the car window while driving through the prairie lands from northern Texas back to Colorado. I set the camera settings for an intentional blur plus the car was moving at 75 mph. Oh, I was the passenger, not the driver . It was really fun taking blurs from a moving car. I did a lot of experimenting and it made the drive so much more interesting.

C & C most welcome.
P.S. I'm glad to be back home at my computer after spending nearly 2 months helping my very ill parents in northern Texas. They are much better now and I can take a break.

Not only an outstanding image but just the fact that you captured it so well at 75 mph is amazing!

Nancy, I love this! The motion implied, the colors and placement of the windmill are just wonderful:S3:

Nancy, the softer color tones and the comp. make this special. The blur amount is perfect. Very nicely done!!

Very well done, Nancy. Love the simplicity and feel to this. I agree, you achieved just the right amount of blur, and what a creative way to make use of your time and moving environment.

Nancy,
I love this. The blur works perfectly to create a sense of wind and movement. Beautifully done.
The only suggestion I might make, and this is really minor, is to possibly crop just a tad at the left to remove that little area of dark green in the lower left corner.

Richard, I actually thought of that after I saw it posted. Thanks for reinforcing my fleeting thought.

Nancy, this is an awesome composition! I really like how you used motion blur on the windmill and the fg grass to create a compelling composition... love those patches of green as if they are waves and creating a sense of blowing wind. Nicely done.

Welcome back! Creative approach to photography. I was glad to read that you were the passenger! The blur does give the sense of wind.

You rocked this one, Nancy! How you got this to be this clean and clear at 75MPH is amazing. :w3
