I created this image at Mammoth Hot Springs in the fall of last year. I never got around to processing some of my images but I had bracketed several exposures hoping that the slight movement of the fog would add some soft interest to an HDR image. Tonight I was going through some of my images and this underexposed shot caught my eye. I decided to convert the top layer to B&W, I then masked back in a hint of the bluish gray sky. I messed around with the contrast and came up with something I called my "cold version". Then I brought it into Nik Color Efex and using the Bi-color user defined filer I created my "hot version" that I have posted here.

Denise, looking at the blog, both versions are excellent. For me the cold is the natural one... however I prefer the hot version is unique. The silhouette and the soft moving fog in the backdrop of the warm sky makes it a wonderful composition. Excellent work!
