I recently went with Mr. Shadle out to the Alafia Banks for a spoonbill shoot. We went early one morning to get into the water and in position for the birds. This one bird was positioned on a branch in front of me..... but the were branches all around the bird. there is one in the foreground that is out of focus, one over the head that is distracting and one behind the bir that was somewhat out of focus. I took out the one over the head using the healing brus content aware tool in PS CS5. I used On One Software Fotoframe acid burn to cover up the blemishes in the original image capture. This way I can keep the image and remember the emotional connection to the scene. Attachment 95434

Jim, considering what you had to work with I think you did a great job! You brought nice texture in with the layered vignette and I like how it echoes the shape of the bird.

James, I think you did a great job creating a keepsake image from your trip. Nice pose, I'd like to see you pull more detail out of those whites if possible. The border and acid burn is way cool and I will have to look into it.:S3:

Hi Jim, this is really nice. I like the concept and you executed it well. I like the use of the white vignette, not many images work well with that but this one does. Would vote for just a little more sharpening on the bird. Love those ice cream colors... :c3: Mmm, strawberry and vanilla.

I think you did a good job with getting the best out of the image and I like the framing. It goes well with the spoonbill!
