You did OK considering the steep angle and all the leaves. I can understand you getting excited by this species.

Beautiful bird! Congrats on getting a decent frame! As Artie pointed out the angle is steep and the foliage in front of the bird is less than ideal. Also some of the reds look a little cooked (the bright area adjacent to the wing); you may be able to salvage them with some selective desaturation and luminance adjustments. More like this:
One more thing: the vertical pixel limit is 800 pixels. :S3:

I came to know that a pair of GHO nest there every year. Owl being my favorite bird I went there to try my luck.
It is a nice place and trails were not very crowded so I enjoyed it.
