I've been absent for a while, but thought I'd drop in for this theme with an old image of a mum. If I remember correctly this had just a touch of Simplify, and a slight reduction of clarity in LR. Cropped some dead space off the sides, but may now be a bit tight. At least its Yellow :bg3: I still drop in to see what's going on, and the images are spectacular and humbling for me.

Dave, I like this a lot. Nice profile and nicely preserved detail. I would wish for slightly lighter stem, but that may take away from the soft yellow glow of the flower..............Please do keep posting, I really like your work. :S3:

Great looking flower and image, Dave. Like the angle, and black BG on this. Might be tempted to boost the yellow a bit, but nicely done.

This is beautiful, Dave. Love the clarity and depth of the petals. Top lit with dark bg makes is really stand out. Excellent processing.

I like the processing, Dave. I wanted to see if you could bring the stem out just a tiny bit more so I added an oval shaped spotlight (filter/render/lighting effects) about halfway down the stem and then adjusted the settings to get this: Just a thought to consider...

I think Jule's version enhances the beautiful yellow flower.

Beautiful flower, Dave. I love the soft yellow against the black BG. It doesn't look real tight to me, though I think I would add some more room to the right. I like Jules' repost; the slightly brighter flower and stem give it a little more pop. Nice work!

Thanks again everyone. I really like your re-post Jules, I had played with spotlight on another image but hadn't considered it on this. It works out really well.

Dave, welcome back - don't be a stranger:S3: I love the image and prefer somewhere between the OP and Jule's repost.
