I like the effect on the leaves but for me, the effect on the bird and the yellows was disastrous.... A good crop from the bottom would improve the COMP.
May we see the original?
Thanks for your observations. Do you think this works any better? I removed the "simplification" from the bird (so the warbler is as it was), but left the simplify on the background. I also cropped from the bottom as you suggested.Quote:

The crop is perfect. The bird is still way to funky/over-saturated/over sharpened for my tastes. That is why I asked to see the original, i.e., a JPEG that represents the converted RAW file straight up with no adjustments :).Quote:

Thanks Mitch. I would try it from scratch while taking Indranil's suggestion above into account. Both of your versions super-toasted the bird.
