I decided to walk around the yard today and see what was blooming. This is one of the flowering trees that we acquired when we bought our house. It is a magnificent specimen, though messy!!
Modifications in PS4, Topaz & Fractalius included; DeNoise5; InFocus; Lens Effects; Fractalius and Accent Edges. I removed the BG and substituted a BLK layer.
Enjoy!

Mark, Seems a bit bright in some areas but it really does pop off the page. I like the comp. but might prefer a hint of a stem.:S3:But that might be my vision and not yours.

Mark, this looks nice with the black bg and white framing. Magnolias are such beautiful flowers and I love the seed pods:S3:

Thanks Denise and Cheryl for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
Sorry Denise but, while it had stems, they were not aesthetically pleasing, as there were a lot of less appealing branches in the way. Therefore, they went for relief of my artistic judgment! :e3
Cheryl, this is the first time we’ve had Magnolias. But, as they are throughout our development I presume they will return here in many forms in the future. :w3

Hi Mark, nice treatment and colors but a bit too bright for my eyes. I would tone it down a bit. My eye is wishing for a bit more detail, but that seems to be common these days! :c3:

I guess we are "birds of a feather", as at our age details are less visible! :w3 :e3
Unfortunately the process to soften it removes details that once were there. :e3
