Last week inspired me to finally buy Photomatix. This was a 3 image exposure and is the main street of the little town that I call home - Micanopy - a very old town in Florida. I used grunge effect and did a curves adjustment. HDR seems to be addictive - I haven't left my computer room for hours:S3:
Comments and suggestions appreciated.

I felt the same way when I first got Photomatix. Your photo makes me want to walk right into it to discover what's in the stores. Love the aged affect on this - the only distraction for me is the crisp white road stripe. I'd recommend cloning that out.

So that's what Micanopy looks like :S3:
Really nice HDR, Cheryl. The grunge effect worked well with this and the composition is great.
I tried to do one of these a few times in Williston but there always seems to be cars there. Maybe I'll have to figure out a way to do night HDR :bg3:

Cheryl, Lovely work! The parking area in front of the main tree really brings your eye into that tree. Nicely done with the grunge effect.:S3:

Hey Cheryl,
Love the bold colors and comp! You may consider toning down some of the brighter areas of the sky but all in all this is very nicely done!

Nice image and application, Cheryl.
Like the effects. Really nicely done.
I've thought of visiting that area someday, now that we're up in this area, but not sure if I can take my wife ... as I hear it is a shopping mecca!!! Have to wait a while I think! :w3

Thanks everyone. These are fun. Maureen, the town shuts down by 5 and you'll probably never see a car after that. And Mark, never fear - that is the whole town (a couple of shops on the other side of the street) so i don't think your wife would do that much damage.:S3: It's a wonderfully quaint place to live.
Doc Hollywood was filmed here (many years ago) - they just put dirt on the main street.

Cheryl, Ain't it fun to try new things. Love the look of this and what a perfect little street to capture. Been away for a while and glad to come back to images like this. Well done.
