Flower Bed Vertical Pan Blur, Chanticleer Gardens, Wayne, PA. Thanks to Denise for letting me tag along on her Friday afternoon past Creative Flower Photography Workshop; the place was loverly.
This image was created with the tripod-mounted Canon 180mm macro lens and the EOS-1D Mark IV. ISO 50. Evaluative metering +2 stop: 1/4 sec. at f/10 in Tv mode. Gitzo 3530 LS tripod with the Mongoose M3.6. Wimberley P-20 plate.

Artie, I love it. I love the colors and the 3-D effect it has. The only thing I'm not fond of are the 3 orange blotches on the right edge. How's your hand?:S3:

Hi Artie, I too like the image... the colors are awesome. It almost has a fabric like texture as if some kind of colorful drape! The colors itself are complementary making it pleasing. Btw, I heard from Gary on the 600mm. Canon moving into full production mode next month and hopefully we will have it by Christmas... you may already know that :S3:
This is Cool! I would definitely keep it:eek: Lots of creative possibilities come to mind with this! Hopefully you have an unblurred capture also because what I would like to play with (if this were mine) would be to have a sharp capture layer under this and then erase selectively to create some revels of flowers here and there. It may not produce a keeper but it would be fun to try. You could also do some fract layers and play with opacities and selective erasing!:bg3: KEEPER!

Artie, A keeper for sure. You were wonderful at Chanticleer and we all had a great time. This one is one of my favorites. I love how the lines soften at the top.:S3:
The feeding birds I might not keep but this image is a keeper, in the right frame it would brighten up any room. I was trying to count how many colors, each time I look I see more.

I'd say it's a keeper! The colors are beautiful. Glad to hear your hand is improving.
Looks good to me Artie! You know I love bold colors, and you have a bushel of them here. The perfectly vertical lines make a nice suggestion of movement and the riot of colors is great.

Hi All and thanks. Unlike the previous image, this one was a test. This is one of my very favorite ever blurs. I plan on entering it in next years's BBC contest, possibly in two categories. :) The funny thing is that I created about 300 blurs that afternoon and deleted 99% of them. This was my favorite by a mile....
