Interesting, Jim. Visine might love it for an ad. I would like to see it in full color, and think I would personally prefer that. It's a great pose and nicely detailed.
Cool Jim! I like the capture and the red eye reveled!
BTW, assuming that you did the BW convert/eye revel in PP, shouldn't this be in OOTB?
Jim, I don't know much about black and white. I like this but the whites don't look white and the blacks don't look black. I guess it looks as though it has some cast to it. I think someone who has experience in B&W could give you some good advice on how to make this cool capture pop. I love the red eye!
Great idea. Like the comp. and the setting. I think the image overall seems a bit flat. It lacks some much needed contrast. As stated above , the blacks and whites seem a bit muddy. How did you make the conversion?
Here it is with the neutrals and blacks with a bot more punch. Histogram now shows the shadow areas buried however.
Cool fishing pose with the raised leg, and well placed in the frame. Good idea with the selective colouring, but my honest opinion, I really feel this would look better in its original colour. I feel there are only certain species that one can convert to B&W and make it work.
My opinion is that I love birds for their great colours so B&W doesn't work for me in most cases. This is very different though, good idea with coloured eye but would like to also see the coloured version TFS:cheers:
Re-post looks much better.:bg3:
Jim, I love the pose, the eye and the composition. The repost does look much better as the original was a little flat. Glad to see you experimenting.:S3:
Jim, nicely processed, much prefer the repost!
It works for me. Well done.
I like the softer first version better, in fact I would put this through Gaussion blur and really try to look OOTB.
Jim, I think I would like the color version better. But perhaps I am just artistically limited. Why don't you post the color version too?
