I intensified the background for a bit more saturation, used PB oil paint, adjusted the brush for effect and used layers to partially erase the head for more details.

Steve, I like the filtering, I would try to get rid of the outline look on the bird if you can. Nice pose and interesting background.

I noticed the rim appearance. It is an effect of the PB. I did not change it from the PB result. I noticed that same effect on some of the PB oil paint results and they seem to be related to brush width.
