Hi, i have a problem with my ameristep doghouse blind. If i use my lens and open the front of the doghouse i use a camo net to hide the lens Inside. But to follow fast birds it is too slow and too loud. The rustle is too loud. What do you use to hide you Inside.

Doddo, Inside the hide I don't use anything, the purpose of the hide is to hide you, if your hide doesn't hide you, than its not a good hide...

Mine is the large, but if it was now I would buy the normal one, if you go with someone else the large can be used for to photographers, I also made some alterations, zip in the back to close and an extra small window in front below.

I live in Portugal, and without a good hide, the birds will not come even closer...

in the tent is a window for the lens. And the cloth snoot covers the gap between the window frame and your lens.
At wildlife watching supplies there is a snoot availiable too.
But if you using this snoot you can't move your lens for flying birds. What do you do?

Ok, I don't use the snoot, in the window there is a nest, like the ones to mosquitos, but with bigger holes, the nest is divided in two parts and you put the lens in the middle, you can see very well to the outside, but the birds canīt see you...

Yeah, mine has netting and a hole with no snoot for the lens. I generally site and track the birds through the netting and raise the lens to the subject just like I would outside the hide.

you use a camo net? My camo net is very loud if i move my lens. And many birds dont like that and fly away. I think about a horizontal slot in my netting. For fast and quiet moving...
Has everybody something like that? Or a similar solution?
