Forced myself away from PB and went into Topaz Clean. First adjusted in Topaz Clean then I converted the image to B&W. I then used the history brush and brought back the colors I wanted. Finally I went to Antique II in Nik which added the noise and the yellowish tint...Not sure how it will be received but I thought it was a bit different...
This is a very cool and interesting looking bird, Dave. Your treatment on the bird really enhances the colors and textures very nicely. If it were mine, I might experiment some more with the BG, maybe a bit darker and softer to give more contrast and bring out the birds colors and texture even more.
Dave, I like this treatment you have given this image. I like the grainy background. There is a small area in front of the birds neck and chest that I would touch up with the grainy BG. Very nice! :S3:

Nice textures and effects. I like it. :S3: If it were mine I might try and bring a little more sharpness to the eye.
