This was taken in my backyard setup. This is a crop. There were times when I had five Orioles flying around me. It was a great week at the house. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Gorgeous detail and colors, Jim! I love the orange/black -- reminds me of Halloween. Exposure seems spot on viewed on my MacBook Pro. Beautiful green BG. I am a big fan of tight crops, but I would like to see a bit more room on the right (although it looks like the perch may need some work if you include more of the right side of the original image). That is a minor nit -- outstanding image.

Simple but sweet.
I'm sure these are hard birds to expose correctly but it looks like you have nailed it Jim. I like it alot.

Beautiful pic. Sharp, great colors, and exposed well. Well done.
Love the colours on this bird and that bill looks deadly sharp!! I like the body position and head angle relative to the perch.
Brilliant exposure and detail here ! I would have loved some more room around the bird .
Gorgeous IQ and colors...I really like this Jim:cheers:
Super pose and HA Jim, and you have exposed those blacks very well. I like the smooth BG, and if you have room, I would like to see some more room at the bottom. :w3
Very nice, Jim! I like it all, but will add my vote for a little looser crop...
A treat to 5 singing (and posing) in your yard!
Thanks everyone for the comments. I didn't intend for the oriole to land on this part of the perch near the ground but grabbed a quick shot. There was no room on the right without including some duct tape. Plenty of other images with a looser crop, different perch and BG.
What a colourful bird and image.
Hola Jim!
This must be one of the best oriole images that I have seen at BPN! love that clean BG and the light that you applied to the bird. Congrats.
