Singing Toad

I spent Thursday and Friday out in the frog ponds near my home as the warm humid air was perfect for lots of chorusing frogs. Found one toad singing. Strange thing is the toads used to show-up in very large numbers, but not in the last two years. I can hear them singing in distant ponds, but in the ponds behind my home their numbers are almost non-existent. Toads are my favorite frogs to photograph when singing. They are also the easiest. I like them because the males really seem to have a tough-guy attitude when singing in the ponds.

Beautiful work with fractalius and nice capture. I agree with others about a crop from the top and a bit more space on the left. Love the colors in this... the blue in his throat is gorgeous. Nicely done.
