Finally have some spring flowers showing up. Shot this Sharp-lobed Hepatica in a farmer's woodlot alongside gravel road near my home. Decided to try using Nik's "Vignette Blur" filter to give it a bit of a dreamy quality, while keeping the center of the blossom sharp.
Simple and lovely, Andrew. I really like the use of the filter here, and the way the slight blur draws your attention to the center of the flower. Very nice!

Andrew, that vignette blur is wonderful! It's one of my favorites and I love the way it works here. Very dreamy and wispy look and very nice detail in the center. Good one!

Andrew, Lovely blurred background and nice details in the flower. I like the softened stem and the colors.

I also like the treatment, Andrew. I might take a tiny bit off the top of the frame so the top of the flower was a little closer to the edge...wouldn't change anything else, though!

This came out really nice, Andrew. Nice choice and selective application of the Nik filter and combined with a great BG makes for a very pleasing comp. Nice work!
