I purchased the new Topaz Lens Effects software this morning and have been playing around with it a bit. If you decide to buy you can use "lenstastic" as your code and get the software for $49.99 instead of $79.99 for a limited time.
I used the fisheye lens adjustment on this one and then put the image into pixelbinder where I added an oilpainting filter over that. I painted the green areas in behind the flowers to make it more uniform and then downsized and sharpened everything for the web. I used this image because two of the most prominent flower petals were OOF and this kept me from having to trash the image. (We love it when that happens!)
It was all for fun and to give the new Lens Effects a run for its money. :w3

Awesome Jules! The color combo and the PB look great but the fisheye touch is a nice bonus!!:S3:

I think you have started a creative and fun series, Jules, with the touching plants and hugging flowers. Nice color combination, composition and filter application.

Thanks everyone...this was a lot of fun and I'm sure I'll be revisiting this process again. I love this time of year with so many opportunities to see the plant life explode the way it does each spring. Every day there's something new to look at and photograph.
