Flipped it for a kind of optical illusion effect. Liked how the water dribble connects the duckling to it's reflection. Used PP, Topaz Detail, Clean to balance out both halfs.
Jumping the gun on the reflection theme! :bg3:

Brendan, you made the reflection? wow. How?
I really like how you adjusted the duck, but find myself looking at with my head as upside down as possible. :bg3:
Thanks Cheryl. At certain times of day there are places at the local lake where the water has a mirror like quality. I captured the reflection pretty much as is, then cloned out some ripples to even both halfs. Also softened the real duckling's image a bit with Topaz detail, to make it look a bit like a reflection too.
beautiful image, Brendan.
Thanks Cheryl, much appreciated. Sorry, when I said flipped, I meant I rotated image 180 degrees.
Very fun image, Brendan! The flip is a brilliant idea, definitely makes you look twice. :S3: I love the water dribble. Well done!
Very interesting concept & effect. I keep turning my laptop upside down! The original looks like it is beautiful too! Can't wait to see what you do with "reflection week" :S3:
Brendan, Awesome! Great OOTB thinking and a "made you look twice" image for sure!!! I like how the eye in the lower half is illuminated and I might try to lighten the top eye just a teeny bit. This is a really, really cool image and I just love it!:S3:
Brendan, ditto the previous comments. This is awesome work! :S3:
Thanks for your comments and feedback, folks!
Denise, I agree about the lightening the eye, had done some lightening around face but not enough. Also, I tried matching the color more, but I guess because reflections can change the color balance, it didn't look right, so left it as is. Here's repost:
Good one Brendan! I like how the watery twin has taken over. Good OOTB thinking and execution. Love that water.
Very cool effect, Brendan! Love how it is all placed on that beautiful blue water. :S3:
The repost does bring out the eyes better. But both versions really catch my eye. Very creative and well done!
Brendan, Looks good. Looking at this again this morning and I have to say WOW I just love it!!:S3:
Thanks, Kerry, Steve, Norm, & Denise.
