Brendan, Not bad for a first attempt. It looks like streaks of pinkish purple. As presented I might take a slice off the top. Keep experimenting and moving your camera in different directions and change up your shutter speed. I didn't see your specs listed.:S3:
Nice motion blur, Brendan. The colors streaks are nice. Excellent first try.
Brendan, It's a good start. I looks like it was a bright day, so you'll be limited in the length of your exposure for the blur and prone to the bright contrast areas you noted. Try again in a shaded area or cloudy day and you'll have more opportunities for the results you're looking for. It takes a little practice and experimenting so keep at it :S3: !!
