here's another try.
what do you think? Do you think there is too much color in the sky or grass?
Thanks for any C&C!

Hi Cheryl, I like this one. It kinda looks like the viewer is looking through a dirty window on a rainy day.:S3:
I see what yo mean, Andrew.
Now how do you make it look like the image is on top of the texture paper, instead of behind a dirty window on a rainy day?? :S3:
Cheryl not sure how to do that. I have never tried any of this type of work yet, but this is cool I would save it for an alternate version. :S3:
This looks great, Cheryl! The blurring and somber tones give it a rather ghostly feel. I think reducing the blurring would help reveal more details and make it look less like a "dirty window on a rainy day," but I would definitely keep this version too. :S3:
Thanks, Christopher. There isn't much detail in the original, it was a very heavy fog.... was trying for a ghostly feel. but didn't quite make it, so tried the texture.
How DO you get a ghostly feel to an image :2
I would say you definitely succeeded in your goal of a ghostly feel. :S3: The only suggestion I have would to maybe try adding a vignette to take the ghostly feel up a notch or two if you want.
It looks darker to me, but not any more "ghostly"...
I'm not sure what you mean, Christopher.
Love the mood to this one, Cheryl. Real nice job with the textures.
Cheryl, I was thinking that a vignette might add a darker, more spooky feel to the image. Here's a repost showing what I had in mind.
Cheryl, Nice work on this one. I agree a little less blur. It looks crooked and it is probably level but I might still try to make it appear less slanted? I like Christopher's re=post and I think you did a terrific job on this one.:S3:
Thanks, Denise.
How do you straighten a building when it looks crooked/out of perspective? It isn't, but looks that way because of the angle I had to stand to get the photo.
I like your "almost ghostly" image. I like the dark mood in your repost better than the original. I also like Christopher's version.
Hi Cheryl, I like the ghostly appearance. Nice progression of images in this thread! Nicely done.
Cheryl, I really like your second post. It has a great feel to it:S3:
