Here is one from an outing today to Humber Bay Park in Toronto. Playing around with my "Better Beamer" on an overcast drizzly day not too many cooperative ducks, but lots of gulls hanging around. Waited for this one to do something interesting and got this one. Thought I'd see what it looked like after fractalius...go figure eh! :S3:

Hi Andrew, nice clean fract work and I love the minimalist approach with the effect. I like the extra saturation, especially in the mouth and bill. Bg colors are nice, I might lighten the ULC a bit or at least extend the transition to the dark part a little. Love the pose!

Andrew, I love the punch of color and the open mouth is a nice touch. I might take a sliver off the top if it were mine or explore Kerry's option. Nice work with the filter.:S3: Looks like you got a nice keeper from the day anyway!!
agree, very nice image, Andrew. Yesterday I was trying for the same effect with the fract filter, but I could never get the lines to look like that. awesome job.

Cheryl, I like using the "Rounded" preset with the "strength" and "line width" sliders reduced. The other sliders I play around until I get something I like, but I finally saved it as a "preset" to save time. Most of the time I then take the image into Nik's Viveza and do a little extra tweaking.
