I started out by using Color Efex filters to adjust this image. I used a round of bi-color filters in yellow/green and then added a blurred vignette. Back in PS I added a slight (25%) yellow photo filter layer to bring out the golden light in the center of the image. I stopped there the first time around.
Today I took another look at it and decided to add some texture so I set my FG/BG colors to yellow and green, added a notepaper layer from the PS filter gallery and changed the blend mode to overlay and the opacity to 70% to get the textural difference.

Jules, I love how you made this look dramatic with the lighting. If it were mine I might tone down the texture in the BG just a hair. Very nice composition and the colors are superb!:S3:

I see what you mean, Denise. (I'm on my work monitor so it's a bit harder to tell what I'm doing!) I will go back and give it a tone down on the textured area. Thanks for your good eye!

Love the colors and dramatic look to this, Jules. I might add a sliver to the top perhaps. Nice work!

Thanks Christopher...that would be an easy fix. I'll take a look at it!

Jules,
I like the image as presented (textures) though I agree with Christopher about the added canvas at the top. Beautifully done.
