I'm not too sure whether this works or not with the buffalo's head turned away so welcome a yes or no (or maybe!) :2
I've kept the lead buff centralised but with the head not looking at the camera it may just be too unbalanced. Cropped from top, eliminated an annoying hill in the background and added one of my textures.

I like the shot, but for composure, I would prefer dropping about half of the space between the buffalo and right side of photo. I think it would balance better. Otherwise, neat!

Hilary, this is a stunner. Someday, I hope I make it to Africa.
I agree with Steve regarding the right side but would hate to see the lead herd animals in the background go.
I really have fun manipulating images. This is one I really had to try. Hope its ok...
The image as I see it...but its only my opinion, as someone once said "your image, your vision".

Thanks Paul, that was going to be my question to Steve as I didn't really want to lose the right hand buffaloes but I like the concept of what you've done so perhaps I can get a good result with the original file. I wonder if I can take the bull off to the right and keep the pano? Perhaps if I post an attempt and see what people think.
Thanks to both for the initial feed back. :S3:

Beautiful tones and feel in this image. I like the pano very much. I also like the turned head with the horns showing up so well. Beautiful texture work--warm yet brooding. The centralize bull doesn't bother me much, but if you want to crop just a bit from the right, you could. I cloned a few bulls from the right and the one on the left.

Thanks Anita, it is late here now so I think I'll have a play tomorrow and try to get the balance right. Love all the suggestions, so helpful. :S3:

Hilary, All really nice compositions and suggestions above and they all make valid points. I like the composition of the OP. I think it adds to the feel of a grand landscape. I think the bulls head is turned perfectly for interest. I might evict the one animal on the left edge but not w/ a crop. This is one of my favorites of yours.:S3:

I like the mood produced by the darkness of the colors and texture. The head position doesn't bother me and like the Denise, I like the OP. Nicely done.

Wonderful scene and mood you captured, Hilary. Love the pano & how the color & texture you created with the sky compliments the buffalo. Though it might not be looking directly at you, his head is turned in your general direction, which looks fine. Moving the buffalo a bit off center works, but I also like the OP. :S3:

This is a beautiful scene. Although the suggested crops are nice, I like the OP more.

Very lovely scene, Hilary. The head turn and BG buffalo look great, and I like the texture and color tones. As far as the composition, I like the pano crop but would place the main buffalo more to the right.

Thanks everyone, I'm still playing with the composition as I'm still not sure on whether to go left, right or centre. :e3
Melissa, I will try to produce one with an elephant just for you! :S3:
