Ding Darling?

Any recent updates? Will be in the Naples area 3/26-3/28 and thinking about going up to Sanibel/Captiva for a day.

I was out there Sunday morning when it opened and was disappointed. Very little action. I didn't take one picture. Went to the lighthouse instead and took a few shots of the lighthouse and and experimented taking pictures of driftwood and saw grasses and flowers etc. Some dogs playing in water fetching sticks. Maybe it had something to do with the Super Moon?

Low tides in the AM seem to work the best.

I stopped by Ding Darling on the afternoon of the 4th and saw a handful of
White Pelicans and one Wood Stork.
Went back this morning and there were several White Pelicans and one immature
Reddish Egret. They were all in the area near the observation tower. Outside of that
a total nothing.

Thanks, I was there on the 26th and apparently had one of the better days. Lots of activity at the first pond on the left and then more right near the entrance to the path that crosses the reserve.
