So I posted 2 versions of this image on my blog today. One with warmer tones and one with cooler tones. Overwhelming favorite was the cooler version w/ a bit more contrast and color. But for some reason I already had my mind made up and chose the warmer version. I liked the "tea stained" look that the warmer tones gave the image.
I started w/ an in-camera zoom blur and used the Twirl Filter in Photoshop along w/ some layering to create this look.:S3:

I love the colors and the twirl, and the softness. It makes a nice abstract painting.
Sweet image Denise and good for you for exercising the artist's prerogative! I know this sounds crazy, but this reminds me of my favorite part of an artichoke, when you get down to the real small fluffy petals... Sure looks yummy! :c3:

I liked the other but love this one...no birds in this one :w3. This really is eye-catching, the swirl, colors rock make this blur.
