Sonic Boom!

Just starting to get a handle on the variables. Still using plain water. Used this orientation for the image because the pedestal reminded me of a projectile. You can turn it 1/4 CCW to see as shot. :w3
Set up with blue drop water, black water container and black flats on left and right.
Two flash pointed at camera from behind frosted plastic. 1 magenta, 1 clear.

Minimal processing :eek: - some dust bunnies and tiny droplets cloned in CS5. Clarity, sharpening and noise reduction in LR.
Wondered about a crop but left it FF. What do you think?

Way cool and soooo OOTB! I love it and it is my new fav. of yours!!:S3: I do wonder if the concentric circle was complete how it would look. The colors are fantastic!

Since this was FF... just a bit more of a challenge to complete the ring. :bg3:
Used content aware fill, smudge and blur tool and a bunch of clone stamping. :S3:

Love this one. Color is amazing as is the timing. Did you use a trigger devise or are you quick on the draw.:2 Like it as a horizontal as well.

Joe, I used a Time Machine with the Drip Kit to actuate the flash and drops as this helps tame some of the variables. It is capable of resolving the timing to the 1/10,000th of a second. Even with this precision, you end up taking a lot of pictures till you get a keeper. It can also be used with optical and sound triggers for other types of image captures. These types of images can be done manually but I don't think I would have the patience or the keen trigger finger. :S3:

Fantastic graphics and colours. Flipped vertically like this it looks like a science fiction portal to enter into another world or era. very cool.
