Split-toned images. I have played with split-toning in Lightroom and like it quite a bit for color as well as black and white images.
I would like to do old photos again too.
I should have read the upcoming themes before starting this in case this might be in there somewhere, but how about HDR or HDR toning which can be done in various ways. Bruce Frasier has a tutorial on creating an HDR look image just with ACR/Lightroom. I tried it on one image but not pushing it as far as he did and it actually looked almost like the HDRs from shots I took at the same time.
